How is welded pipe manufactured?
The large-scale manufacturing of welded pipes is a complex process that involves multiple steps.
Firstly, use a thickness that matches the thickness of the finished pipe wall to select the metal coil. The coil must also be wide enough to achieve the required circumference and diameter.
The coil is fed and formed through a series of molds. This causes the two edges of the coil width to approach each other until one edge contacts the other edge of the tube.
The welding process is used to connect these two edges together.
